Planning for an adventour can be exciting, and having a checklist can help ensure you don’t forget anything important. Once you've booked your tour with us, you will receive an email confirmation with a checklist of items that you'll need on the tour. Each adventour is different but plan for the essentials (phone & charger, travel insurance), clothing (proper shoes(water shoes and hiking shoes depending on the terrain you've chosen), weather-appropriate clothing, hat & sunglasses, swimwear) and personal Items (medications, sunscreen & bug spray, water). Adjust the checklist based on your specific needs.

Yes — we offer both private tours and very small group experiences so you can choose what suits you best.
Private Tours: Perfect for couples, families, or friends who want a fully personalized adventure. You’ll have a dedicated guide, a pace tailored to you, and flexibility to focus on what interests you most. Great for honeymooners or those seeking a quiet, exclusive experience.
Small Group Tours: Ideal for solo travelers or those who enjoy meeting like-minded adventurers. Our groups are intentionally small — maximum 6 travelers per guide for hiking — so you’ll still get a personal touch without feeling rushed or lost in a crowd.
Both options include the same safety standards, professional guides, and attention to detail that make our tours special.

No, we do not offer dolphin swims, shark encounters, or any activities that disturb wildlife.
At Mauritius Adventours, we believe wild animals belong in the wild. Activities like swimming with dolphins, feeding monkeys, or posing with captive animals may seem exciting, but they can harm animal populations and disrupt natural behavior.
Here’s why we don’t offer them:
Stress to Wildlife: Chasing dolphins or surrounding them with boats can cause extreme stress, interrupt feeding and nursing, and even injure them with propellers.
Habitat Impact: Frequent disturbance can drive animals away from their natural areas, affecting breeding grounds and ecosystems.
Ethical Responsibility: We want to leave a positive impact on Mauritius. Our philosophy is “take nothing but memories, leave nothing but footprints.”
Instead, we focus on responsible nature experiences : hiking, and exploring wild landscapes where animals are observed respectfully, at a distance, without interference. Occasionally, you may spot monkeys, birds, or even dolphins from shore, but we let nature lead the encounter.
